Chef of winning pomegranate aril recipe announced at Fresh Summit

During the past few months, Ruby Fresh organized the Ruby Fresh Chef’s Challenge in search of the best pomegranate aril recipe. The winning chef and the recipe will be revealed at the PMA Fresh Summit on October 24. The chef is going to make an appearance between 12:00 and 2:00 pm and will be sampling the recipe to all attendees. All weekend, attendees are invited to come and enjoy various pomegranate aril recipes at Ruby Fresh’ booth #3375.

There is more going on at the company’s booth during the Fresh Summit weekend. Pomegranate School Lunch Packs as well as re-packaged 4-count clamshell packs of whole pomegranates will also be introduced. In addition, the company will showcase display bins for volume buyers of Ruby Fresh pomegranates.



Ruby Fresh is excited to be exhibiting at the Fresh Summit again. “There is no other venue that offers so many buyers the opportunity to see first-hand the unique quality and pack style that sets Ruby Fresh apart from the many other shippers of pomegranates,” says Natalie King with Ruby Fresh. “Due to the show, many buyers are now requesting ‘The Ruby Fresh Pack’ for their high-quality demanding customers.”
 
The pomegranate industry is awaiting the official USDA announcement for the approval to import whole pomegranates from Peru into the US. “There is talk that the official announcement will happen during Fresh Summit, which will be very big news for the industry,” King mentioned.
