Originally started as La Minita Produce in 2011, the importer and distributor of Mexican mangos and limes transitioned into La Minita Fresh this year. They will attend the upcoming PMA Fresh Summit as an exhibitor next month.“We're a family-owned company and mostly family-operated,” said Beatriz Duran of La Minita Fresh in Hidalgo, Texas. “We really strive to have the best quality available, and if that means we have to repackage products, then that's what we'll do.” La Minita Fresh sources mangos from Oaxaca and Sinaloa as well as Persian limes from Veracruz. They distribute the fruit throughout the United States.
“The company has experienced constant growth every year,” said Duran. “So we figured we needed to have a presence at this year's PMA event in order to talk to customers so they know who we are, where we come from and what we can do for them.” You can visit La Minita Fresh at this year's Fresh Summit at booth #5422.
