Clearance procedures now at -1.5°C

New cold storage facilities at Ningbo port

New cold storage facilities at the Port of Ningbo make it possible to store fresh produce at a constant temperature of -1.5°C. This new method ensures that fruit and vegetables remain fresh during inspection procedures. 25 ton of citrus from South Africa recently has been cleared successfully using the new facilities.

“Within one day, fresh products can now be stored in containers at low temperature in the Customs Surveillance Zone. This makes the Port more efficient at lower costs. Now we are confident to import more fresh products” according to manager Xiaowei Ni from Qi Mao Export and Import.
