Renewed blueberry small packaging line at LBP fully employable

At LBP Rotterdam in Maasdijk the last touches are being made to the new blueberry packaging line. Last season LBP started packaging blueberries from different countries. With last year's first experiences and the client's wishes, LBP has decided to fine tune the line for the second year. The necessary adjustment were made for this, which means the results are expected to be even better in the coming season.

For bulk boxes the berries are checked for colour, softness and size by a number of sorters. After this there is a manual control, after which the berries are packaged fully automatically in the desired packaging and the desired labels are applied. The most common packaging for this product is that of 12 x 125 grams, but there are different packaging possibilities available.

The renewed packaging line will be fully employable for packaging this product this week, as the first shipments from South America have already arrived. Besides packaging blueberries LBP is also active in packaging citrus, sorting and re-packaging other exotic fruit and ripening fruit.
