Conrad & Adams Fruit, LLC installs new packing line

Conrad & Adams Fruit, a Washington state grower-shipper recently installed a new apple packing line which incorporates the latest internal and external sorting technology as well as doubling the amount of bins per hour they can run.

Construction of the new line started on May 1st. 2015 after they finished packing apples from the 2014 harvest.

Apple defect detecting

“We literally finished packing on a Friday, and they started deconstructing our old line on Saturday so we’d be ready for new crop apples in August. Time was of the essence, as the apple crop harvest was about 10 days earlier than normal so we didn’t have any wiggle room in the construction process,” stated salesperson Carrie Koerner.

Conrad & Adams is a grower, packer and shipper of conventional and organic apples, conventional and organic pears, cherries, peaches, nectarines, Italian prunes and plums in the Yakima Valley. It was formed in 2008 and operates in the former Snokist and Andrus & Roberts warehouses in Grandview and Sunnyside, WA.
