The Comité Uienhandel (Onion Trade Committee) of GroentenFruit Huis is organising an International Onion Congress on Monday 19 October 2015 from 16.00 - 21.00 (incl. dinner) Location: Van der Valk Hotel Middelburg. There are three renowned speakers planned:
- The most recent European figures on this season's onion sector will be announced by Dr. Hans Christoph Behr of the German Agricultural Market Information bureau (AMI);
- Wayne Mininger, Executive Vice President of the American Onion Association, will give a lively insight into the U.S.A. Marketing & Strategy;
- International logistics, experiences and developments will be discussed by former vice president of Maersk Line, Thomas Eskesen.
In collaboration with Jo-Annes de Bat, Deputy of the province Zeeland, the new campaign for the world wide promotion of the Dutch onion will also be revealed.
Due to the international nature of the congress, you are more than welcome to invite your international contacts to the congress!
