Potato Europe 2015 photo report

The Potato Europe in Kain / Doornik has ended again. On Wednesdat September 2 around 5,000 visitors attended the potato event. Stall holder Henk van der Peet estimates Thursday's number of visitors at around 4,000-5,000. He experiences that potato event as positive. "Inherent to the mood on the potato market, which is very different to last year. There was also a striking amount of attention for the harvest demonstrations."

Although it rained on Wednesday afternoon, Thursday remained dry, despite predictions to the contrary. At the event in Kain there were a lot of French and Belgian growers in particular. "There were some English and German visitors and some Ukrainians and Russians, but our experience is that the Potato Europe in Germany and the Netherlands always attracts most variations in international visitors."

In 2016 the Potato Europe will be in France and in 2017 it is the Netherlands' turn again.
