Hapag-Lloyd presents full reefer range at Asia Fruit Logistica

Hapag-Lloyd presents its full range of specialized services for fresh fruit and vegetables at this year’s trade fair Asia Fruit Logistica in Hong Kong. As one of the leading global players in the container shipping business, the Company will attend the fair with its expert team and booth in order to intensify the relations to local partners and clients in one of the fastest growing reefer markets.

Recently, Hapag-Lloyd extended its container fleet with an order of 6,000 reefer containers of the latest generation with a total capacity of 12,000 TEU, strengthening its position as one of the largest reefer carriers in the world. Due to the acquisition of Compañía Sud Americana de Vapores’ (CSAV) container shipping business, Hapag-Lloyd is also well positioned on the Latin America trades, which are an important part of the global reefer business. In order to strengthen Hapag-Lloyd’s leading role in the Latin American trade, the Company ordered five new 10,500 TEU ships with a high number of slots for the new reefers in April 2015.
