PENNY at first place at Customer Survey

PENNY has won again in the “Customer Survey for Food Discounters 2015” by DISQ. On behalf of the news-channel n-tv, the German institute for Service Quality (DISQ) held the survey from October 2015 until January 2015. They ask customers online about their opinions on the leading discounters in Germany. With 76.5 points Penny came first, before LIDL (2) and ALDI-Süd (3). The customers were asked to score five different factors: food quality, prices, product range, service and store layout.

PENNY scored well to very well in all categories. Top marks and first place in quality and service. And not unimportant: With only 19 percent of the PENNY customers claiming they once had an annoying experience at PENNY, they came again before LIDL and NETTO. And the group of customers that would recommend PENNY is with 63.3 points by far the largest. In 2009, 2011, 2013 and 2014 PENNY had already won first place in the tests of the Hamburg Market Research Institute.

“The survey shows that the customer satisfaction with discounters increased overall. And we still won; we are very pleased to keep our position. Our increased investments in product quality is noted and recognized by our customers. That is a sign that we are on the right track. Just as the service to our customers. My recognition and gratitude go to our 26,000 co-workers, without their daily efforts we wouldn’t have achieved this,” states Stefan Magel, Sales and Marketing Director at PENNY. And a new marketing campaign, with the faces behind PENNY is a logical next step.
