Sea lettuce, a nutritious algae

Sea lettuce, such as the Ulva Lactuca pictured, is a type of seaweed that has many health benefits as it is full of vitamins and minerals and is highly nutritious. It can be enjoyed in many ways such as chopped, cooked, mixed in with different recipes, or just as a side dish. Other types of algae that can be consumed include glasswort, dulse and wakamé.
