Allround VP:

Emptying and filling boxes automatically

During recent years there has been a trend in large potato and vegetable processors of creating a working operating line with the least amount of people as possible. Reducing the amount that the fork lifts need to move has also been a key objective for many processors. In response to this trend, Allround VP has chosen to develop an automatic box filling system. This crate filling system allows the user to place fully stacked crates on the operating line. On the other side, stacks of empty crates are filled.

Over the past few months Allround VP has been involved in upgrading the processing facility of a large onion processor in France. The client also wants the fork lift to be involved as little as possible in the filling and emptying process. Furthermore, the product must be sorted, picked and then sorted by size or square diameter. After the crates are prepared, they are brought to the different packaging lines, where the customer has many possibilities for packaging the product.

Allround has chosen a separate filler for sorting. There are twelve sorting options, six diameter sorts and six square sorts. With a system made of a rolling conveyor belt, the empty crates are taken to the box fillers where the product is placed in the crate with a vertical belt. If the crate is already full, then it is automatically sent to a collection point. It is possible to track every case in order to know which sorting was used in which crate.

During the Agri-technica in Hannover, Allround will present this development to the general public.
