Fresh and crispy vegetables in every season

With the Feller family at the "Feller-Höfli", cultivated by the third generation in the vicinity of Thun, the passion for vegetables is literally palpable. Vegetable cultivation is the characterizing part of the farmer's company, whose vegetable growing is certified with Swiss Garantie, and acknowledged by SwissGAP. Besides that, Karin and Fritz Feller run a dairy farm with 26 cows and young cattle.

A wide range of lettuces for every palate
Fellers are especially strong in their salad range, which includes a wide variety of many kinds, from head lettuce to Batavia, oak leaf, endive to sugar loaf. Cabbage turnip, cauliflower, fennel, cucumbers, tomatoes, zucchetti or broccoli, kabis, Chinese cabbage, leek and celery are planted depending on the season. The grounds of Fellers company, at 620 meters above sea level, lies in the middle of a moraine landscape. The soil is very diverse. Beside rocky mineral beds, one also finds black moss ground. A challenge in planning, because not all crops like each type of soil.

Fellers supply SPAR supermarkets in the region (of Thun, via Heimberg and Liebefeld up to Interlaken), as well as Top CC in Muri, with their crispy fresh vegetables from Monday until Friday. They take orders for the next morning until the afternoon of the previous day, and then deliver everything freshly harvested, so that the customers can benefit from produce that’s almost as fresh as if it were from their own garden.

Day of the open door
On August 16, 2015 from 9:00 – 16:00, Feller’s Höfli opens its doors for customers and other interested people. A worthwhile visit.
