"Customers were already able to order items from our famous Wech=Pech Fax through the site. Especially in recent years we saw more people ordering these offers online, but those orders always came in by email. In the new system, when the customer logs in, the entire webshop is linked to the store. Customers always see the current stock and prices. Every customer is also transport technically linked to a certain supply route. This means that the customer gets a personalised supply that they can order the same day," says Willem.
"The advantage for the customers is that they can always order when it suits them. You get the online orders in at the strangest times. Some retailers walk through their store and order on their tablet at the same time. But we have to make sure the personal contact doesn't disappear, as it's a must in this day to day trade. This is why the seller concerned always gets a pop up in their sales screen. They have to confirm the order and can always inform the customer that big apricots have arrived or that the cauliflowers have especially good prices today."
