Wholesaler prices in June 2015

Germany: Fruit, veg and potatoes prices rise

The prices in wholesale businesses in June 2015 were 0.5% down compared to June 2014. And according to the Federal Statistical office (Destatis) in May the change was – 0.4 % and in April – 0.9 %. Compared to the previous month the produce sold at wholesale markets was 0.2 % cheaper in June 2015.

Compared to June 2014 the wholesale trade in coffee, tea, cacao, and spices had to deal with rising prices (+ 10.1 %). And fruit, vegetables and potatoes became more expensive than last year (+ 4.3 %).
