Argentina: Commercial registration for fruit to be boosted

The Secretary of Rural Development of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Nation, Carla Campos Bilbao, had a working meeting with leaders of the Argentina Confederation of Medium Enterprises (CAME).

The official met with Raul Robin, President of the Regional Economies area of the CAME, and Paul Vernengo, its Executive Director. The meeting led to progress in joint work on various issues related to regional economies, especially those having difficulties because of the international economic situation, such as the fruit sector in the Patagonia’s High Valley, citrus and sugarcane.

After the meeting, Bilbao Campos stated that they had agreed to promote all necessary measures to implement the Resolution of Trade Transparency in the value chain of pears and apples.

Resolution No. 135/2015 was recently approved by the Ministry of Domestic Trade of the Ministry of Economy. It falls into the work carried out under the Observatory of prices and Availability of Inputs, Goods and Services.
