15% tomato plant material

Harvest House: 15% of cardboard tray made from tomato

The growers from Harvest House have introduced a cardboard tray that is made up of 15% tomato stems. Tomato stems form after the tomato harvest and can be used with waste paper to create an alternative raw material for paper production. The first trays were ready at the beginning of this month at Harvest House in two different designs. The trays have the same specifications as plain cardboard, therefore the quality and robustness are guaranteed. Harvest House designed the trays together with Solidus Solutions (previously Smurfit Kappa Solid Board Packaging).
