Former Turkhan Foods, Linden Nut, and Pearl Crop Trading

US: Merger of three companies into Pearl Crop, Inc.

Ulash Turkhan, President & CEO of Pearl Crop, Inc. is excited to announce the merger and new name of the company…Pearl Crop, Inc. “While many of you have come to know us from working with our family of companies - Turkhan Foods, Linden Nut, and Pearl Crop Trading, we decided that merging these companies together made a lot of sense,” said Turkhan. It will result in efficiencies and a single face to our customers, growers, suppliers, and employees. Before the merger, the companies have really operated as one but with three different names which has caused some confusion. Improving our infrastructure and service level while increasing our balance sheet and financial strength will benefit everyone that we do business with and also adds to our motto of “Ease of Doing Business”.

Turkhan shares some of the company’s rich history…”Turkhan Foods formed in 2007, provides almonds, while Pearl Crop Trading, formed in 2011, serves as a sales and trading company. Linden Nut was purchased in 2013, but formed many years ago, provides walnuts. This merger is only a legal merger and the company and its operations will continue providing quality products to our customers. Although the prior company names will disappear as legal entities, the well-recognized brands of Turkhan Foods, Linden Nut, and Health Tree will not,” mentioned Turkhan.

“Why do we call ourselves Pearl Crop,” said Turkhan? “Like a pearl which is formed within the shell of a pearl oyster and highly prized as a gem, we feel that our growers provide a gem that also grows naturally inside the almond and walnut shells that their orchards produce. While there were other gem and precious metal names to choose from such as diamonds and gold, we decided that a pearl best represents the quality that our growers deliver and that our customers expect. We’re proud to be the connection between the two with our world-class processing facilities located throughout California’s Central Valley.”

Going forward, the new Pearl Crop, Inc. will be focused on being the Pearl among almond and walnut processors. “I am proud of what we have accomplished as a team and look forward to our bright future together in the months and years ahead.”
