For the first time this summer, Sunkist will be offering organic-certified California-grown Persian limes. Sunkist is responding to the growing demand for premium fresh citrus as well as the evolving needs of its customers.
Joan Wickham, manager of public relations and advertising for Sunkist, said that Sunkist just began shipping limes last week, but peak volumes will be available during the late fall and winter months. “Volume is currently limited as production just began. However, volumes will increase during peak season and in years to come as the trees mature,” he added.
Sunkist’s limes are grown in the Coachella Valley.
