France : Stonefruit to decrease

Medfel’s crop forecasts have just been reviewed and they are now estimating 2.9 million tons of peaches and nectarines (excl. pavies) compared to the 2.97 million tons first predicted in May. This is a -7% decrease for France and -9% decrease in Greece compare to the first estimates. There is a -4% decrease for Spain whist Italy sees a slight increase, +2%. Apricot forecasts have also been updated and see a -3% decrease compared to estimates in April (497,868 tons vs 509,570 tons). Italy sees a -5% decrease whilst France records -2% and Spain only -1% and 0% for Greece.
