Branston Cornish new potatoes launched by Jack Stein

Leading potato supplier, Branston, has teamed up with one of Cornwall’s finest chefs to celebrate the start of the Cornish potato season.

Cornish chef and son of legendary chef Rick, Jack Stein is the ambassador for Branston’s PR campaign for the Cornish season. This includes branded content for the website including a series of promotional videos, and six exclusive recipes for Branston, showcasing the product and its versatility.

Jack’s recipes include roasted Cornish Seasonal New potatoes with smoked Cornish sea salt, Cornish Seasonal New potato salad with beetroot and goats’ cheese, and rack of Cornish lamb with crushed Cornish Seasonal New potatoes.

The Cornish potatoes are often regarded locally as signaling the start of the summer season. Famous for their soft, pale skin and sweet, creamy texture, these potatoes are extremely popular with consumers.

Branston have had another successful year of crops thanks to the warm, southern climate and high light levels encouraging growth.

George Christoudias, Sales and Marketing Director, commented, “We’re very excited to be working with such a successful chef to launch our much-anticipated Cornish crop this year. With Jack on board, we hope to further showcase these fresh, seasonal potatoes, which are always very popular with Tesco customers.”

Cornish Seasonal New potatoes are available at Tesco stores in Cornwall and the South West from early June. They will be available in national distribution from mid July.
