Bonduelle reveals encouraging results to reduce use of phytosanitary products

A day after a report from Greenpeace on pesticide residue on apples, the Bonduelle group have published results of a 6 year experiment on full-field vegetable growing using reduced phytosanitary products. Whether a coincidence or not, the results are encouraging.

The aim is to produce the same quality and quantity of vegetables whilst reducing the use of phytosanitary products. Since 2009 they have been experimenting with 8 pilot farms. Between 2007 and 2013 these farms were able to reduce their treatment frequency index by 17%.
