The Japanese Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Aquaculture has authorised importations of Vietnamese mangoes from Xuan Lox. The quality of the fruit was praised by a delegation of Japanese experts and large companies following a visit to the province of Dong Nai. The mangoes are grown in Xuan Lo where there are currently 54 hectares of mango plantations that comply with the VietGAP regulations.

Nguyen The Bao, Director of the company Suoi Lon said that “many Japanese companies wish to not only import mangos, but also other agricultural products from our province. They particularly wanted a direct cooperation in the production and export of agricultural products.” They have also introduced farmers to high tech organic vegetable farming, the development of horticulture in relation to tourism and the production of organic fertiliser from agricultural waste.

Currently 5 fruits from Dong Nai are exported to the USA, Europe, Ukraine, Japan and China : Jack fruit, durians, mangoes, bananas and dragon fruit).
