Kingdom Fresh Farms continues to invest in new equipment
In an effort to improve efficiencies to meet increased volumes, Kingdom Fresh Farms has recently installed new tomato sorting equipment. The new machinery will provide not only labor and financial savings, but also increase output.
The new equipment will be used for handling beefsteak and roma tomatoes and is expected to more than double the current capacity and offer substantial monthly operating savings. Those savings show a tangible return on investment and are symbolic of the keen business strategy that is guiding facility improvements and expansions that are part of a series of strategic changes that Kingdom Fresh is undertaking to grow the business.
“We are very pleased with this new, state-of-the-art equipment that not only allows us to increase our daily volume, but to improve our bottom line so we can focus on quality and new business,” said Guillermo Martinez, General Manager. “This line provides for an improved product flow providing less stress points on the tomatoes which reduces the potential for bruising allowing us to offer even more consistent quality.”
Kingdom Fresh Farms, is a business focused grower specializing in a full assortment of tomatoes grown in multiple regions of Mexico with headquarters in the centrally located and industrial developed region of Torreon, Mexico where they are one of the largest greenhouse operations with over 300 acres of protected agriculture resources and a local, community based workforce.
