Vignolo Farms & Top Brass receive Non GMO Project Verification for potatoes and grapes

Vignolo Farms/Top Brass is pleased to announce that their California grown grapes and potatoes are now Non-GMO Project Verified, underscoring the 75 year old family farm’s dedication to today’s consumer. “Research shows that a majority of Americans are very concerned about genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in their food, which is why we are committed to meeting and exceeding consumers’ expectations with our fresh fruits and vegetables,” says Brett Dixon, President of Top Brass. “Receiving Non-GMO Project Verification is another example how we are continually looking to communicate the added value of our produce.”

The Non-GMO Project is North America’s only third-party verification and labeling organization for non-GMO food and products. Our grapes and potatoes that earned Non-GMO Project Verification underwent a series of rigorous tests and audits to ensure that they adhere to the Non-GMO Project’s strict Standard for GMO avoidance.

Our Verified products are produced in compliance with the Non-GMO Project Standard—that means we follow rigorous best practices for GMO avoidance, including segregation and traceability to prevent contamination. GMOs, or "genetically modified organisms,” are plants or animals that have been genetically engineered with DNA from bacteria, viruses, and other animals and plants.
