Golden Wing Mau: General manager import resigns

Golden Wing Mau regrets to announce the resignation of its Import Manager, Mr Roland Gels. Roland joined GWM in 2014 to take up the position, but announced his decision to step down from his role due to family commitments.

President and CEO of Golden Wing Mau, Mr Mau Wah Liu said they are disappointed, but wishes Roland well with his future endeavours, thanking him for his dedication during a very difficult import season for China.

Rod Hill will take over the reins on 31 August 2015 and resume the duties of General Manager Import, a position he held until October 2014 until he returned to the UK while working on special projects for GWM. Hill’s extensive fruit industry expertise in Capespan and Golden Wing Mau is well suited to further develop and drive Golden Wing Mau’s import strategy by building strong alliances and growing the business.

Following the recent announcement that Capespan in Asia and Golden Wing Mau will be consolidating their supply & procurement expertise from South Africa under a single structure, Rod will be instrumental in putting this structure in place.
