Produce for Kids® concept launches In County Market Stores

Produce for Kids® will introduce the new Produce for Kids Club concept, a transactional loyalty program designed to encourage healthy eating for families while increasing sales of fresh fruit and vegetables, to County Market shoppers on June 10.

Through July 21, when County Market shoppers purchase two or more participating produce sponsors’ products, they will receive a code on their receipt making them eligible to sign up for the Produce for Kids Club at ProduceforKidsClub.com. After registering, families will receive a welcome kit, which includes free products, coupons and more. By joining the Kids Club, families will have access to registered-dietitian approved recipes, healthy eating tips, meal planning guidance and a welcome kit, as well as fun online activities.

The Produce for Kids Club concept was developed as a loyalty program designed to increase sales and encourage repeat purchases. The program will be communicated to County Market shoppers through multiple channels including weekly ads, signage at point of purchase, a text message to all County Market subscribers and verification on the shopper’s receipt. Additionally, the program will reinforce fresh produce consumption year-round by tying the Produce for Kids Club to County Market's Fruit of the Month Club, in which kids under 12 can try a new fruit each month for free.

As with all Produce for Kids affiliated programs, the Produce for Kids Club will raise funds to support The Salvation Army Food Pantry serving the local County Market area.
