Ethylene scrubber puts more pressure on broccoli market

The British company, Fresh Pod, is advertising an ethylene scrubber, which can extend the shelf life of broccoli up to four times longer through an improvement in organoleptic quality.

Dutch broccoli grower, Peter Verschuren, is up-to-date on this technique, but is not in favor of it. "It puts more pressure on the market if the temporary oversupply continues to hang over the market, and it makes you vulnerable emotionally. Hopefully it dies a quiet death. I hope that my colleague's feel the same way!"
