The Minister of Industry and Environment of the province of Formosa, Raul Quintana, visited the banana production area that is near to Laguna Blanca and Laguna Naineck. The minister stated that, "progress was made in the near marketing agreement of banana from Formosa."
Formosa's productive portfolio noted that the official had stated that there were currently 1,500 hectares devoted to banana production in the hands of small farmers, and a middle stratum that has reached a high technological level, with whom "we are working in logistics to sell their products in a better way and making contact with the most serious companies in the country so that they can place this delicious fruit of the highest quality in the most demanding markets. "
Provincial officials also met with the head of Fonfipro, Jorge Melchor, to see how they could use this strategic policy of concessional financing for the most unique production segments that are channelled through this tool designed by the state.
The sector stated that the banana packing plant is 90% complete. Large scale vendors, such as the Central Market and Ariel Silibia, who is the marketing manager of "Tropical Argentina", were also present during the tour in the production area.
