French startup launches fresh fruit tubes

A Parisian startup company, Les Fruitieres, has launched a new and original concept : diced fresh fruit (mango, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, dragon fruit…) wrapped in fruit like a maki, in a tube that when twisted pushes up the fruit, rather like a tube of glue or a lipstick. Ali Belrhiti, one of the cofounders of Les Fruitiers explains that it took them almost 2 years to finalise the concept, and that they have now started to retail it.

Launching has begun in Paris and the Paris region, where to start with, it is offered in boxes delivered weekly through a subscription system (that can be stopped at anytime). There are 5 tubes in the box costing between €6.45- €9.95. The boxes can be delivered to homes and offices. Each tube contains 55g of fruit and has a 5 day shelf life.
