Grapes from Mexico launches trade campaign

Grapes from Mexico has launched a spring marketing campaign focused on snacking.

“Snack On! with Grapes from Mexico” will include trade and consumer outreach from May through early July, according to a news release.

The trade campaign includes a retail display contest in support of key holidays including Memorial Day, Father’s Day and the Fourth of July. Educational materials and best practice insights also will be available to retailers.

The consumer campaign includes an online sweepstakes with weekly prizes on the brand’s microsite and Facebook page, online advertising, targeted e-mail marketing and blogger outreach.

“We have the supply to support retail needs throughout the spring and early summer, and just when retailers need it, Grapes from Mexico infuse new freshness into the category, since we pick daily and use no preservatives,” Juan Laborin, general director of the Asociación Agricola Local de Productores Uva de Mesa (AALPUM), the local association of table grape growers in Sonora, Mexico, said in the release. “We are projected to grow 25% over the next five years, so the industry can continue to count on us for volume, quality and freshness.”
