Tengelmann and Edeka file request for ministerial approval

In the fusion control procedures for the release of Kaiser's Tengelmann GmbH to the Edeka-Verbund, the corporate groups Tengelmann and Edeka have jointly filed a request for ministerial approval with the federal minister of economics.

“We are convinced that the actual macroeconomic advantages of our plans for fusion vastly outweigh the purely legal points of critique of the Federal Cartel Office. This goes especially in the interest of the employees, whose workplaces are only secured further with the fusion. Therefore, we decided to take the step towards ministerial approval.” thus says Karl-Erivan W. Haub, managing director and individually liable shareholder of corporate group Tengelmann.
