Canada: Photo report CPMA Retail Tour

From ethnic produce varieties to freshly squeezed juice

FreshPlaza participated in the CPMA Retail Tour.

The first stop of the day was at Adonis, owned by Montreal-based Metro, Inc. We saw very large displays of produce, sourced from many different regions in the world. This store had a large ethnic assortment, including many different tropical fruit varieties such as guavas and papaya fruit. Mangos were sourced from at least three different countries.

At Marche Provigo, a banner from Loblaw Companies Ltd., we saw a completely renovated store with signature orange floors and in-store prepared foods and juices. The store had a very clean look.

The Marche Jean-Talon is a traditional market in the Little Italy area of Montreal. Stalls offer a large selection of fresh produce from around the world, sold farmer’s market style.
