India: Prices to topple mango cart

Making the staple mango pickles and drinks would be costlier this season because not only the ripe ones but even 'kachha aam' would cost more this time. Thunderstorm on Tuesday morning hit Malihabad's mango belt even more. Not only seedless ones, even healthy fruit fell off trees.

Though horticulture department has yet to assess the loss, growers peg it at around 60% loss of fruit.
