Mory Global compulsory liquidation

The Bobigny Commercial Court announced a court-ordered liquidation of road-haulage company MoryGlobal. The company has 2,150 employees in France (and 62 in Toulouse-Bruguières) and may continue their activities for one month. This ruling means that all employees of the parcel delivery service, founded in 2014 on the remains of Mory Ducros, France’s second messaging service, will be made redundant.

Over one month, the judicial officer will carry out meetings with the trade unions and proceed with layoffs. Mr Thomas Hollande, lawyer for MoryGlobal’s works council and the son of Francois Hollande says that, “Over this one month period, we will fight to strengthen the job-protection plan. The aim is that they can obtain the same severance conditions as their colleagues who left a year ago,” following the collapse of Mory Ducros. The announcement of the court-ordered liquidation was met with shouting and booing from dozens of employees grouped outside the court who were heard protesting “we are fed up!”

“It is the end of a story. Mory was almost 200 years old,” said a moved Jean-Claude Jacquard, CGT delegate.

The trade unions that will be seen on Thursday at 5pm at the Ministry of Transport have demanded that sales of the group’s assets be used on a priority basis to finance the redundancy programme.

Out of the 62 employees dismissed in Bruguières, today only 6 have found employment.
