Fairtrasa appoints new COO

Fairtrasa Group, a leading organic fruit producer and distributor appoints Boy Stuijfzand, a Netherlands-based logistics expert as new Chief Operation Officer. Stuijfzand, who previously served as General Manager of ABC Logistics, will assume the post on April 1st.

Stuijfzand brings over 20 years' experience as General Manager in the fresh fruit and logistics sector to Fairtrasa. At ABC Logistics (part of Best Fresh Group), Stuijfzand oversaw the warehousing and distribution of fresh fruit and vegetables in the Netherlands. Prior to ABC, he was Managing Director at Hamiplant, part of the Dutch Flower Group.

Fairtrasa Group founder and CEO Patrick Struebi says Stuijfzand will play a vital role in improving Fairtrasa's supply chain and expanding its market reach.

Struebi says Stuijfzand also has the personal and cultural qualities essential for the job.

For his part, Stuijfzand says he is excited to apply his leadership expertise to a social enterprise that has garnered high-profile recognition for its impact on small-scale farmers in Latin America.
