Asia Fruit Logistica: Registration up 20%

Exhibitors from 33 different countries have already signed up to exhibit at Asia’s leading fresh produce trade show, which returns to Hong Kong’s AsiaWorld-Expo Center on 2-4 September 2015.

Many companies will be making their debut appearance at Asia Fruit Logistica2015, with almost 20 per cent of registrations coming from first-time exhibitors.

Some 15 different countries have already booked national pavilions at the show, including Australia, Argentina, Belgium, Chile, China, Ecuador, Egypt, Greece, Malaysia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Peru, South Africa, Taiwan and Turkey.

Many of these nations are ramping up their presence on the show floor in 2015, with Turkey and New Zealand leading the way. Turkey has already booked 150 per cent more stand space than it had at the 2014 event, while New Zealand has expanded its exhibition area by almost 100 per cent versus this stage last year.

China was the largest single country in terms of exhibitor numbers at Asia Fruit Logistica, followed by Italy and Australia. All three nations look set for an even stronger showing at the 2015 event, with China’s bookings for stand space currently up by 10 per cent on this stage last year, Italy up 18 per cent and Australia up 30 per cent.

Serbia will be exhibiting for the first time at Asia Fruit Logistica 2015, represented by producer-marketer Ciric Agro. A host of other companies from around the world will be making their debut appearance as exhibitors, including AVI Global Plast (India), IFCO Systems (China), Salemfrucht (Germany), Fresh Fruit Services (Poland), Hunsarang Co (South Korea) and SanLucar Fruit (Spain).

A record 8,100 trade visitors from 64 different countries attended Asia Fruit Logistica 2014, marking a 24 per cent increase on the 2013 attendance. Exhibitor numbers grew by almost a third to 478 companies from 38 different companies.

With less than six months to go before Asia Fruit Logistica 2015 opens its doors – and strong demand for stands – companies are advised to book now to secure their space.
