Early start of carrot season into Canada

Dorot Farm, number one exporter of “Fresh and sweet” carrots to North America, reports high demand for fresh carrots in the Canadian market.

Ami Ben-Dror, CEO of B.D.A Marketing/Dorot Farm, reports that due to customer requests for fresh product, rather than local or Canadian supply from storage, Dorot Farm began the season earlier.

According to Mr. Ben-Dror, this request came from the U.S market as well.

“Our customers asked us to start earlier, because they feel that the end customer consumes more when they buy fresh product, not from storage. Even when the price slightly higher, they still prefer our fresh and quality product.”

As Mr. Ben-Dror went on to state: “when you buy fresh, you consume more!”
