The Ecosac Company plans to expand its grape area from 700 hectares to 1000 hectares this year. This year the company also expects to arrive in Japan. Currently, Colombia is its main destination.

The Company currently has 150 hectares devoted to the production of avocados, 150 hectares for bell peppers, 250 hectares for piquillo pepper, 150 hectares for paprika, and 500 hectares intended for shrimp aquaculture.

Ecosac's commercial director, Gerd Burmester, said they would open their third processing plant for frozen shrimp in April. The other two processing plants they have are located in Chapaira, Piura. The new plant will also be used to process scallops, squid and mahi-mahi.

Almost all of Ecosac's products are intended for export. The company exports to 40 destinations. The exception is the paprika.

Ecosac is part of the Costa del Sol Group. The company exports 95% of its shrimps to the United States and it is currently seeking to reach Asia and Europe.
