Food safety forefront for Florida cantaloupe growers
Due to a large disease outbreak a few years ago which affected fresh produce, Sweet Life Farms takes extra strides to ensure good safety measures, with all cantaloupes grown certified by the ECGA.
The farm grows 300 acres of cantaloupe each year with the main harvest between May and June. Their safety checked melons yield roughly 120 count of 24 inch bins. The cantaloupe are grown and packed fresh, which offers markets in the South East and Midwest of the United States a sweeter melon.
