Half cucumber
The half cucumber has been monitored at seven retailers, Lidl and Aldi are not included. This week, the half cucumber retail prices are still between £0.35 (Tesco, Sainsbury, Asda. Morrisons, and Waitrose) and £0.45 (Co-op) per portion and the average price was £0.37 per portion. In general, the prices remained quite stable over the past 15 weeks. During the measurement period, the retailers supplied cucumbers mainly from Spain, Morocco and the Canary Islands. This week, however, the first half cucumber from the UK was available at Sainsbury's.Mixed peppers
The mixed peppers are packed in threes. Over the past 15 weeks, the retail prices remained quite stable. This week, the retail price of a mixed pack of peppers lies between £0.95 (Aldi, Lidl) and £1.75 (Co-op) per pack. The average retail price is £1.12 per pack. The peppers are mainly supplied from Spain, Morocco and Israel. Also this week, the retailers supply them from these countries. Week 47 was the last week that the retailers supplied peppers from the Netherlands and the UK.Cherry tomatoes
The cherry tomatoes are measured per kilo. The retail price of cherry tomatoes is between £2.10 (Aldi) and £9.00 (M & S). The average price is £3.33 per kilo which is forced up by the £9.00 retail price of M & S. This week, and in general, the cherry tomatoes are supplied from Morocco and Spain.
