Bio Company extends store network

The German organic supermarket chain Bio Company is continuing its growth. In 2014 the chain made a turnover of 114 million Euro, reports the German website lebensmittelpraxis.de. That is 14% more than in 2013. In 2015 the company wants to further extend from their 42 stores at the moment to 50 stores.

Bio Company attributes the turnover growth mainly to its regional concept. According to them up to 40% of the fruit and vegetables offered are from the local region in the right season. Of the baked goods and meat 75 percent is from the local region throughout the year.
