PROEXPORT regret resignation of Antonio Cerdá

"He has strongly supported the producers of fruit and vegetable in the Region of Murcia all these years," said Juan Marin.

The horticultural producers and companies linked to PROEXPORT regret the resignation of Antonio Cerdá as Minister of Agriculture and Water, something that caught everyone by surprise. Over the years he has been a "great defender of the entire agricultural sector in the Region of Murcia, demonstrating his strong support and advocacy for the needs of the agricultural enterprises," said Juan Marín, president of the Association.

"We have always found in him a partner willing to solve any problem that the horticultural enterprises had and he always promoted our productions and defended them before any forum, even though we may have had some discrepancies. Overall, we must thank him for his job and regret that he has to leave his position in these circumstances," said Marin.

The president of PROEXPORT said, "Antonio has shown great dedication to our agriculture, defending water resources, promoting the internationalization of our fruits and vegetables and betting on the productions from Murcia. We're worried he is leaving when we have such important issues to solve, such as the water deficit or the implementation of the CAP, among others."

PROEXPORT is confident that Antonio Cerdá's successor will have the same willingness to work with the regional agricultural sector and will continue to defend their productions so they can continue to be a reference in all target markets.
