Focus on growth and new markets in 2015

Grosbusch to build new 18,000 m2 warehouse

2014 was an important year for the Luxembourg-based company Grosbusch. "We went through several developments, both externally and internally," says Goy Grosbusch. "The company hired new managers and we have further developed our markets. As a result, we have grown at a good pace. Average growth in 2014 stood at 9%, reaching double-digit figures at some points. We are confident this growth will continue in 2015."

Expansion, ready by mid-2016
"Because of our steady growth, we realised that our current warehouse in Ellange, built in 2005, would be too small to ensure an efficient productivity over the coming years. As a result, we decided to expand our capacity and build another warehouse, opposite our current facilities. Our total warehouse space will be expanded from 5,000 to 18,000 square metres. The construction of the new warehouse will be completed by mid-2016, increasing our productivity and giving us new opportunities to maintain and boost customer satisfaction."

Products
Grosbusch has a range of more than 600 kinds of fruit and vegetables. "To keep our customers happy, we are constantly looking for new products and developing new business in the field of packaging for our brand 'Vitality'. Our strength is our capacity to meet truly customer-specific demands. We also remain on the lookout for the best suppliers able to offer us new possibilities and new varieties." He explains that the philosophy of this family business focuses on delivering fresh products with the best taste. "That is something we find really important and which is highly appreciated by our customers." Because Grosbusch is based in Luxembourg, it can quickly serve many neighbouring countries. "Specifically, we supply customers in Germany, France and Belgium, as well as other European countries."

Growing demand for local produce
Grosbusch tries to supply as much local produce as possible. "To expand our range we especially look for locally-grown fruits and vegetables. There is a good demand for products from Luxembourg and therefore we also collaborate with several growers. Unfortunately, Luxembourg’s total production is not large enough to meet the customers demand. That is an issue we must face."

2015

For 2015, the plan is to continue expanding in the neighbouring countries. "We expect an increase in the number of foreign customers and our staff is preparing for that, learning different languages to be able to communicate optimally with them. Furthermore, this year we will focus on various other activities, including innovation and new products. We will also establish an internal educational centre for young children to stimulate consumption and provide them with information about fruit and vegetables. Additionally, a new marketing campaign that will be launched in the second quarter of the year, which will aim to promote our ‘Vitality’ brand and our various services, including ‘Fresh Cut’, Fruit@office and 'Prepacked services'."
