Switzerland: approximately 160,000 tons of potato in storage

Last December, in Switzerland, 160,000 tons of potatoes were in storage, reports the Swiss website Schweizerbauer.ch. This is 40,000 tons more than in December 2013.

Compared to the 2005 to 2011 average, last December's potato stock was almost 45,000 tons (37%) larger. Thereby making both the stock of ware potatoes (+38%) and the stock of processed potatoes (+37%) higher than the long-term average.
