person pretending to be Koornstra employee

Koornstra warns contacts of identity fraud

At the moment there is a person actively committing identity fraud. He is pretending to be a Koornstra employee. He has attempted to buy full cars in Spain multiple times and pick them up himself. He requested full cars of peppers, aubergines and tomatoes in blank packaging for the Russian market. He sends emails to Spanish shipping agents, in which our logos are abused, as is the name of one of our employees.

He closes the emails with the name of our employee and the following phone number +31-174788124 which is not a Koornstra number and an email address ending in ...@koornstra.co.nl. The following website is also used www.koornstra.co.nl. This address redirects straight to our website.

To be clear; our emails end in koornstra.nl and not koornstra.co.nl. Our website is www.koornstra.nl.

We have reported the above to the police and managed to find the following. It concerns a Russian from Moscow. His name is Mr Yuri Kabalkin.
