"2014 was an awful year for summer fruit, except for apricots. This was due to the weather and also to the limitations of our system, which just does not work in case of overproduction," explains Raffaele Bucella from Granfrutta Zani.

"For what concerns winter products, we are quite optimistic as regards kiwis and pears, but the situation is not good for apples."
Inside the Metis stands at Fruit Logistica 2014 (Zani, Minguzzi, Royal e Bluewhae), a personalised totem will be placed in full view. "To us, Metis is really important, as we invested a lot in the project. 2014 sales (120 tons of plums) confirmed our choice, as the fruit was very much appreciated by consumers."
"For the future, we will continue with our usual strategy - focus on high quality and innovation, although years like 2014 mean there are less funds that can be reinvested."
At Fruit Logistica, the stand of the PO will be within the collective Cso "Italy" stand (Hall 2.2, Stand A-02). Chairman Pier Luigi Drei, general director Sandro Zani, sales manager for Italy Cristiano Ulvini and the entire team of foreign sales managers (Enrico Silighini, Marco Sanviti, Francesca Borghi and Euro Bassi) will all take part.
