Germany: carrot prices increase slightly

It isn't looking bad for the German growers in the second half of the 2014/2015 carrot season considering it started off with weak prices. The carrot stocks were 17% under the level of last year on the 1st December as well as being below average. Now there are slightly increasing prices, which could soon reach the level of previous years, reports the German Informations-Gesellschaft (AMI) on its website.

The 'Möhrenforum' started yesterday, 12th of January and finished up today, 13th. In the professional congress, organised by the 'Rheinische Landwirtschafts-Verband' and the AMI, almost all aspects of the carrot cultivation and the carrot sales are mentioned. Late deciders can still sign up here
