Coop Switzerland grows 2.4%

The Swiss retail company, Coop, achieved the same growth rate in 2013 and 2014. According to a press release, retail sales increased by 1.9% in 2014, reaching 17.7 billion Swiss francs (14.74 billion Euro). Since the prices of the assortment decreased by 0.5%, there has been real growth of 2.4%.

Net profit for the entire Coop group (wholesale, production and retail) increased nominally by 0.7% to 27.2 billion Swiss francs (22.65 billion Euro). Taking into account exchange rates, there has been an increase of 1.3%.
