New kohlrabi varieties from bejo

Kohlrabi is popular in Germany but still barely known in other countries. Extremely healthy and delicious, the vegetable is a notable variety in the cabbage assortment. With its high vitamin C and anti-oxidant content levels, Kohlrabi is perfectly aligned with current food trends.

Traditionally kohlrabi is served boiled. As part of its "Taste-Health-Convenience" concept, Bejo has developed new, tasty varieties such as Konan F1 and the purple Kolibri F1. Equally delicious raw, they make their European debut at Fruit Logistica 2015.

The flesh of the Kohlrabi bulb is juicy and crisp, with a mild, melon-like fragrance and a mild, sweet flavour. It also retains its fresh colour for a long time when cut and served raw. The Kohlrabi snack sticks can be sampled at the Bejo exhibition stand.
