V label for more products

German discounter Norma wants to focus even more on vegetarian and vegan products in future, German website Lebensmittel-praxis.de reports. At the moment, all existing products offered by Norma are being assessed to see if they are suitable for the use of the VEBU (the German association for vegetarians) V label.

"Our goal is to provide all store brand products with the label, providing they meet the criteria for the V label. This way, our customers can orient themselves more easily. For certain products, the recipe will also be purposely altered, so that they will meet the criteria for vegan products. All in all, over 500 of Norma's store brand articles will receive the V label," says Wolfgang Stütz of Norma.
